Business Litigation Team prevails in decision issued by SJC

Our business litigation team of T.J. Conte, Jim Hoban, Alexandra Mansfield, Suzette McCann and Anthony Baumann prevailed in a decision issued by the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) in favor of our client Phoenix Communications, Inc. on July 11, 2023, which was argued by T.J. Conte on March 8, 2023, finding that the SJC’s COVID rules did not toll the statute of limitations of 300 days for filing an action in the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), an executive branch agency, and affirming the decision of the Superior Court on our team’s previous motion to dismiss which was argued by Alexandra Mansfield before Judge Kenton-Walker.
