Mirick O'Connell is currently seeking the following associate positions:

Litigation Associate

Minimum of two years of litigation experience is required, and experience in medical malpractice defense litigation or life, disability, and ERISA litigation is preferred.  The position will be based in our Worcester office.

Real Estate Associate

Minimum of two years of experience in commercial conveyancing and leasing is required.  The position will be based in our Westborough office.

Trusts and Estates Associate

Previous related experience is preferred, but recent law school graduates with strong academic credentials will be considered as well.  Responsibilities will include drafting all types of estate planning documents, including irrevocable trusts, as well as preparing probate court papers and administering estates.  Strong interest in estate planning, estate administration work, and the preparation of estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns is imperative.  The position will be based in our Worcester office.

Intellectual Property Attorney

Mirick O'Connell is seeking a senior-level associate, lateral partner or partner track candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead and develop our intellectual property practice.

Responsibilities will include domestic and foreign patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution; counseling, including due diligence, patentability, and product clearance studies; licensing; copyright matters; and M&A transactional support.  Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
