Intellectual Property Attorney
Mirick O'Connell is seeking a senior-level associate, lateral partner or partner track candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead and develop our intellectual property practice.
Responsibilities will include domestic and foreign patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution; counseling, including due diligence, patentability, and product clearance studies; licensing; copyright matters; and M&A transactional support. Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Strong academic credentials, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with clients, and interest in business development are required. Legal Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities include working closely with attorneys, paralegals and other legal administrative assistants to provide administrative support in the areas of document production, calendar/file maintenance, time entry, and scheduling meetings with clients. Travel to each of our three offices may be required.
Office Assistant - Westborough Office
Responsibilities include assisting in the overall administration of the daily office functions by updating client-related computer records, scanning documents, photocopying and binding, maintaining supply inventory, and assisting with reception coverage. Candidates must have the ability to move and/or lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 60 pounds periodically.
The Firm seeks candidates who are team-oriented, quality-focused, and have a strong attention to detail. Previous experience in a professional services firm is preferred, but candidates without such experience who possess outstanding computer, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills and who demonstrate a genuine interest in working in a law firm will be considered.
