Thomas J. (TJ) Conte and James P. Hoban Join Firm

Worcester, Massachusetts?October 8, 2013?Mirick O'Connell is pleased to announce that Thomas J. (TJ) Conte and James P. Hoban have joined the Firm as Partners within Mirick O’Connell’s Litigation Team.  Both attorneys were previously with the firm of Bowditch & Dewey in Worcester.

 

TJ has tried over 30 jury and bench trials.  He has extensive experience in the areas of business litigation, real estate and construction litigation as well as in reviewing and drafting construction contract documents.  He represents and provides both litigation and business advice to a wide range of clients, including business owners, developers and contractors.  Since 2012, he has been named a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer” by Boston magazine and Law & Politics.  Previously, TJ served on active duty as a trial lawyer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC).  He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and his B.A. from College of the Holy Cross in 1987.

Active in the community, TJ is Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation Golf Committee, a coach and director of the Tris Speaker Little League, a member of the President’s Council for the College of the Holy Cross, and a member of the Worcester Democratic City Committee.  He is also a member of the Worcester County and Boston Bar Associations and he is a Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.

Jim Hoban focuses his practice on tort defense, commercial and business litigation, insurance coverage issues, and defense of professionals in malpractice actions.  He manages all aspects of civil litigation in federal and Massachusetts courts and has trial experience in the Superior, District, Probate and Family, and Land Court Departments of the Massachusetts Trial Courts. He has appellate experience in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Appeals Court.  Jim received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 1996 and received his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 1991.
