Aging Matters: A Monthly Elder Law Column in the MetroWest Daily News

Westborough, Massachusetts - February 13, 2012 - As part of a monthly Elder Law column in the MetroWest Daily News, Attorneys Arthur Bergeron and Christine Keane will address common elder law issues that they see every day. They will use a fictitious couple, Frank and Mary, to highlight the questions and concerns that many people encounter as they, or their loved ones, age.

This is the next installment of a column designed to address common elder law issues that attorneys Arthur Bergeron and Christine Keane, with the law firm of Mirick O’Connell, see every day. In past columns, they have used a fictitious couple, Frank and Mary, to highlight the questions and concerns that many people encounter as they, or someone they love, age. This month, however, the focus will be on the new Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code ( MUPC). The MUPC, which took effect March 31, dramatically changes both estate administration after death and Massachusetts intestacy law.
