Mirick O'Connell Recognized as "Best Law Firm for Business" by the WBJ
01/19/2016Mirick O'Connell is pleased to announce it has been named Worcester Business Journal’s “Best Law Firm to Serve Businesses” at its 2016 Best of Business Awards.
In its third year, the Best of Business Awards recognize companies in central Massachusetts that excel in delivering a wide variety of products and services, as determined by Worcester Business Journal readers. This year’s award had a total of 40 categories and 44 winners. More than 1,750 votes were received during polling in October and November of 2015.

Founded in 1916, Mirick O’Connell began as a business law firm but has since grown to specialize in practices such as Business; Construction Law; Creditors’ Rights, Bankruptcy and Reorganization; Elder Law; Family Law and Divorce; Health Law; Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits; Land Use and Environmental Law; Litigation; Personal Injury; Public and Municipal Law; and, Trusts and Estates. In addition to the firm’s reputation with business clients, it also places a strong focus on community involvement and mentoring opportunities. A staple of the firm’s community service is participating in the United Way’s annual workplace campaign and Day of Caring, as well as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity to build playhouses for disadvantaged children. In addition to the Best of Business Award, Mirick O’Connell was also named one of the Worcester Business Journal’s 2014 Top Workplaces.
Recipients of the Best of Business Awards were highlighted in the Worcester Business Journal’s Best of Business issue Jan. 18, and honored at an awards celebration Jan. 27.
