Grace Roessler Elected to Partner

Grace C. Roessler has been elected Partner. “Grace is a passionate advocator for her clients,” according to John A. Shea, chair of Mirick O’Connell’s Family Law and Divorce Group. “She is a welcome addition to the partnership.”

Roessler is a seasoned litigator within Mirick O’Connell’s Family Law and Divorce Team. She focuses her practice in the areas of divorce, domestic and international custody disputes, child support, alimony, modification, contempt, requests to permanently remove children out of the Commonwealth, paternity, restraining orders, Department of Children and Families Investigations, and elder divorce. Roessler also represents clients in equity actions, including petitions to partition real estate for unmarried owners, disputes over life insurance proceeds, and actions for relief from a court order or judgment. She regularly appears before Probate and Family Court judges for motions and trials to litigate on behalf of her clients.

Roessler has extensive experience serving as a third party neutral, including as court-appointed discovery master and as a certified mediator. She volunteers with the Suffolk and Middlesex Probate and Family Court Lawyer for a Day programs, is an active member and contributor to the Boston Bar Association, and currently serves as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Family Law Pro-Bono Committee. She was formerly co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Family Law Communications Committee and co-editor of the Family Law Newsletter.

She is a recognized leader in her field, having been included in the 2023 edition of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in AmericaTM for her work in Family Law. She was first listed in 2021. Roessler was also listed in The Best Lawyers in New England: Ones to Watch© 2021 in the field of Family Law, Boston. She has been named a Massachusetts “Rising Star” by Boston magazine and Law & Politics every year since 2019. Boston magazine named Grace one of their Top LawyersTM 2021 in Family Law and Divorce.

Outside of the office, Roessler is a member of the Harvard Radcliffe Community Chorus and the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association. She was admitted to the Massachusetts and Wisconsin bar in 2011. She is a cum laude graduate of New England Law | Boston.
