Andy practices in the areas of tax law and estate and business planning. He is the former chair of the Trusts and Estates Group, and previously served on the firm's Management Committee.

He provides estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, business succession planning for business owners and tax advice to individual and business clients in connection with many types of transactions, including business acquisitions and restructurings; venture capital fund formation and structuring; equity compensation strategies; business formations and combinations; formation, qualification and operation of tax-exempt organizations; and tax-exempt bond financings.

Andy was included in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Tax Law.  He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 1989.   Boston magazine and Law & Politics named Andy one of Massachusetts "Super Lawyers" for 2004, 2006 and 2008-2013.  Andy has received an AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available for legal ability and professional ethics.
