Worcester, Massachusetts — February 13, 2009— Mirick O’Connell Joins the American Heart Association In the Fight Against Heart Disease with a Special Event on Wear Red Day.
Mirick O’Connell is showing its commitment to the American Heart Association’s (“AHA”) fight against heart disease with a special event at the Firm on Wear Red Day, February 13, 2009. Wear Red Day is part of the AHA’s Go Red for Women campaign, a nationwide movement to help raise women’s awareness of cardiovascular disease and to empower both women and men to reduce their risk of this potentially deadly disease.
On Friday, February 13, 2009, Mirick O’Connell employees will don the color red to show their support for the American Heart Association’s work. In addition to wearing red, employees will have the option to purchase Go Red stickers for $5 to wear jeans to work that day. The money collected during Mirick O’Connell’s Go Red event will be used to advance the American Heart Association’s research and education to prevent and treat heart disease. As part of the day’s events the Firm will also host a luncheon for its employees and provide educational material from the AHA.
