Ted Bassett Interviewed by Worcester News Tonight, Haverhill teen's jail sentence sends warning to Mass. drivers

Westborough, Massachusetts - June 7, 2012 - Ted Bassett, partner and chair of Mirick O'Connell's Personal Injury Group, was interviewed by Worcester News Tonight about the Haverhill teenager sentencing in connection with recent accident involving texting while driving.

Excerpt from interview:

Ted Bassett says the judge has made it clear that there is no place for cell phones while driving and has set a new precedent for how these situations will be handled.

Bassett says more district attorneys will be checking cell phone records if there is any suspicion they played a role in a crash.

“Aren’t things you can hide. It's a permanent record of every time you text.”
